Toshiro Mifune's Epic of Love and War

Based on best-selling historical novel, Samurai Banners (Fuurin Kazan) is the story of Yamamoto Kansuke (Mifune Toshiro), a warrior who has achieved high rank in Warlord Takeda Shingen's army by any means necessary, even if they're dishonorable.

After convincing his Lord to kill a neighboring Daimyo and marry his widow, he finds his ambition in direct conflict with his heart when he unexpectedly falls in love with the one woman he can't have!

As the years pass, he comes to learn the true meaning of honor as, while still scheming to increase his Lord's domain, he also does what he can to help the woman he must love from afar.

An epic film set during the era of the warlords, Samurai Banners features some of the most dynamic battle scenes ever filmed in Japan.

  • Starring Toshiro Mifune and an all-star cast!
  • Also available as part of the Toshiro Mifune Collection Box Set.
